Aydlett architecture and research is a consulting practice focusing on special projects utilizing design research and integrative intelligence to create connective, appropriate environments. The practice connects together resourceful design strategy, environmental performance and programmatic suitability. We bring experienced design, management and client service to every project that we are involved in.
We execute designs in an innovative, collaborative and practical manner while understanding that designing is participating in something bigger than the building itself and that it needs to be an appropriate response to the requirements of the client and their environments. Each project is explored for its unique opportunities and formed to respond to the client's needs, circumstances and situations.
Mr. Aydlett has designed projects ranging from $1 million to $60 million in construction cost. Most of the work is in the San Francisco Bay Area. The work includes work for universities, institutions, private residential and commercial clients.
Robert has worked on numerous LEED certified projects. He believes that starting out with clear articulate goals of understanding the potential of the site, using strategies that work with the opportunities of the environment, being efficient with resources and selecting strategies that have the least impact on the environment should be the goal of every project.
